Co-Founder + Program Director + Lead Joyhunter

Alexander Hardy is a grits-powered writer, home cook, dancer, lupus survivor, and National Trainer for Mental Health First Aid USA. He is on a lifelong quest to make better empanadas.

He battles spiritual ashiness as CoFounder of GetSomeJoy, a creative wellness agency supporting communities and organizations with joy-flavored trainings and experiences, soulful storytelling, and accessible wellness resources. Alexander has written for outlets such as Ebony, CNN.com, Food & Wine, Esquire, Courvoisier, The Root, Saint Heron, and Very Smart Brothas.

Will Alexander ask you about delicious meals you’ve had or prepared? Does he accept restaurant recommendations and joy-inducing recipes? Yes.

He supports communities and organizations with English and Spanish Mental Health First Aid trainings, grief and loss workshops, Literary Therapy writing sessions, resource development, and other wellness-infused experiences.

Co-founder + Head of marketing

Enesha is a Marketing and Communications strategist invested in the real world applications of the social determinants of health—with 15+ years advising fast-growing tech companies, creative agencies, and social impact organizations.

Enesha applies an interdisciplinary framework to brand strategy and program design to optimize individual + community joy and wellness. You can find her dancing at crosswalks and spreading joy in unexpected places.


JAMOND FOREE

OPERATIONS STRATEGIST

Jamond Foree is a storyteller, community builder, and creative force born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. A master of blending strategy with soul, he has spent his career transforming spaces into hubs of belonging, joy, and equity.

Most recently, Jamond served as Manager of Training & Education Programs at GLSEN, driving national efforts to create safer, more inclusive schools for LGBTQ+ youth. Before that, he provided professional development and capacity-building support for the Ohio Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Center network. His leadership journey has also taken him through impactful roles as Youth Development & Education Program Director for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, Senior Manager for Community Strategies at StrivePartnership, and Technical Advisor for the YMCA of the USA.

A sought-after facilitator, visionary strategist, and bridge-builder, Jamond has worked across the U.S., helping government agencies, school districts, nonprofits, and municipalities break down barriers and build bold, people-centered solutions. Beyond his work in education and community transformation, he is a multidisciplinary artist, weaving storytelling, costume design, acting, and writing into his creative expression.

When he's not out here making the world a better place, Jamond is fully immersed in his greatest and most rewarding role—being a dad.

CHARMAINE BAXTER

PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM FACILITATOR

Charmaine Baxter (she/her) is an Afro-Latina Peer Support Artist navigating life with CPTSD and using her experiences to foster healing and connection. Right now, her favorite color is mustard yellow, Doechii is on repeat, and food is the joy that starts and ends her days.

As the founder of Convos with Charm, a nonprofit dedicated to Black mental health, Charmaine curates food-centered mental health events that blend psychoeducation with community care. 

Her work focuses on creating culturally relevant mental health resources, uplifting Black women and femmes, and fostering more representation in wellness spaces. She believes in a trauma-informed world built on joy, pleasure, rest, and play—and is committed to shaping a future rooted in love, compassion, and empathy.
