Wednesday Peer Support

GetSomeJoy’s Peer Support is a free, peer-led space to navigate a range of feelings and experiences in a safe and supportive community.

This group occurs biweekly on Sundays + Wednesdays @ 4:30 PDT/7:30 EDT.

Attendees can connect with others who understand, receive support and accountability, discuss coping + creative wellness strategies, and offer each other hope.

GetSomeJoy has hosted over 250 Community Mental Health Check-Ins via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter Spaces, Zoom, and in-person since 2018, providing welcoming space to discuss one's experiences + celebrate oneself, connect with caring folks who care, and access resources. This Peer Support Group Program is an expansion of that trusted offering.

PEER SUPPORT GROUP HOST: ALEX HARDY

Alexander Hardy is a grits-powered writer, home cook, dancer, lupus survivor, and National Trainer for Mental Health First Aid USA. He is on a lifelong quest to make better empanadas.

He battles spiritual ashiness as CoFounder of GetSomeJoy and supports communities and organizations with English and Spanish Mental Health First Aid trainings, grief and loss workshops, Literary Therapy writing sessions, resource development, and other wellness-infused experiences.

Alexander does not believe in snow or Delaware.

PEER SUPPORT GROUP HOST: ENESHA STRINGER

Enesha is a Marketing and Communications strategist invested in the real world applications of the social determinants of health—with 15+ years advising fast-growing tech companies, creative agencies, and social impact organizations.

Enesha applies an interdisciplinary framework to brand strategy and program design to optimize individual + community joy and wellness. You can find her dancing at crosswalks and spreading joy in unexpected places.
